PS3 Practicum
My final practicum was completed at Eagle Butte High School in the Fall Semester of 2018. During this practicum, I worked with a great staff and a fantastic group of students as I continued to refine my teaching practice. During this practicum I had the opportunity to teach in an area that I have always wanted - Social Studies 10/20. I had the great privilege of working with my teacher mentor, Sherry Craven, who has provided so much excellent insight and experience to guide me through this practicum. The administration at Eagle Butte was very welcoming and entrusted me with some great responsibilities - like coaching a volleyball team, which truly made me feel like part of the Eagle Butte team. Through this experience I have learned so much about teaching as a profession, who I am as a teacher, and who I am as a person.
PS3 Preparations
This practicum offered the experience to take on a full semester from the beginning of the year to Christmas, which gave me the opportunity to create long range year plans, along with the unit plans and individual lesson plans that we had used in PS1/2. In the files below, you will find examples of these plans as a demonstration of my ability to plan for all lengths of time.

The Profession
Since this practicum was an entire semester, it gave me the opportunity to learn about the teaching profession itself. Going through the semester gave me the opportunity to coach, experience the creation of a professional growth plans and course outlines, assessing the students and contributing to report cards, and experiencing Parent-Teacher Interviews. All of those professional responsibilities have provided me a valuable learning experience as I continue those responsibilities as a professional. Below I have attached my course outlines to show my completion of some of the professional responsibilities of a full-time teacher.

Professional Growth
The length of this practicum and the time it was situated made it appropriate for me to complete and submit a professional growth plan to administration as well as my consultant. Completing this growth plan gave me the opportunity to reflect on areas of focus that I specifically looked to refine as I moved through this practicum. I feel I have shown significant improvement in each area of focus that I had laid out. That being said, these areas of focus are by no means perfect - as a teacher, I have committed to being a lifelong learner, during which I am committed to continuing to improve my practice for the benefit of my future students and colleagues. The following growth plan shows that I am committed to growing as a professional.
